Home upkeep

Updated · 1 minute read

Daryl keeps a home profile: the kind of home, when it was built, the furnace filter size, the water heater and roof years, the smoke detectors. From it, upkeep items come due on their own schedule: the filter every three months, smoke batteries every six, gutters, the dryer vent, the water heater flush.

What you see

Due items show on Today and on the Home page with their next date, and the task goes on the list of whoever owns it with the size or part already filled in. Done today moves the date along and keeps a log.

What's not kept

Your address. Renewals, insurance and anything with a policy number stay in Documents, not the home profile.

The car

The car works the same way: service intervals, registration and inspection dates, with reminders two weeks out.
