Always disclosed
Daryl says it is an AI when you start and whenever you ask. After a long stretch of chatting it suggests a break and says so again.
If someone is in danger
Daryl gives the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988) and, in an emergency, 911. It does not counsel or diagnose.
Teens
A break reminder during long use. When teen accounts in a household open fully, a linked parent is told when a safety concern comes up, never what was written. See the Child safety policy.
Children
Children do not chat with Daryl. In the kids area, which is opening in stages, if a child says something worrying, Daryl answers with a calm script and tells a parent at once.
A note on minors
AI companions may not be suitable for some minors. Daryl is a household assistant, not a companion, and is built for adults.
