Summary

  • You see the price before you pay. Your price doesn’t change while you stay on your plan.
  • Plans renew until you cancel. Yearly plans get an email about 30 days before renewal.
  • A full refund within 30 days of your first payment. After that, unused months back on yearly plans.
  • If a plan ends, everyone moves to Free. Nothing is deleted.

This summary is not part of the policy. The full text below applies.

Plans and prices

The free plan needs no card. Paid plans are billed to one person, usually the household admin, and cover the people the plan includes. The plan screen and the checkout page show each plan’s price, people, allowances and features before you pay. Prices are in US dollars and don’t include taxes; we don’t collect sales tax today, and if we start, the amount will be shown at checkout. Some households may be offered a founding price, and verified students and people 65 and over can ask for a lower price on the personal plan; any such price is shown before you accept it.

How you pay

Checkout and the billing portal are run by our payment processor. It receives your name, email address, an account reference and the plan you chose, and handles your card details itself. We never see or store your full card number. Receipts and invoices come from the payment processor and are available in Settings › Billing.

When you are charged

  • Monthly plans renew on the 1st of each month. Your first charge covers the rest of the month you start in.
  • Yearly plans start the day you subscribe and renew a year later. We email you about 30 days before each renewal.
  • Packs are charged once when you buy them, are used after the month’s allowance, last 12 months, and never refill on their own.

Price changes

If we change the list price of a plan, the new price never applies to you while you stay subscribed to your current plan. If you change plans, the new plan’s price, and any amount due or credited for the switch, is shown before you confirm.

Failed payments and lapses

If a payment fails, our payment processor may retry it and we may tell you. If it can’t be collected, or a plan is cancelled and its period ends, everyone on the plan moves to the free plan. Nothing is deleted: records stay, and features outside the free plan pause until a paid plan starts again.

Cancelling

Cancel at any time from Settings › Billing. The plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and then doesn’t renew, unless you take a refund below.

Refunds

When you end the planWhat you get back
Within 30 days of your first payment for itAll of that payment
A yearly plan, after thatThe whole months still unused
A monthly plan, after thatNothing; the plan runs to the end of the month you paid for

You can take a refund in the app when you end the plan, once per account. It goes back to the original payment method. For an unused pack, a second refund or anything unusual, write to hello@getdaryl.com. If we remove a core feature of your paid plan, or you don’t accept a change to the Terms, you can end the plan and get the unused part back. Nothing here limits a refund the law gives you.

Your own model key

If a household admin adds the household’s own AI provider key, that provider bills you directly, under its terms, for the work run on it. That work doesn’t count against your allowances. See Fair use of plans.

Daryl Labs

A paid Daryl Labs app stops renewing as soon as we announce it is closing, and the unused part is refunded automatically. See section 10 of the Terms of Service.
