Kids and teen features are opening in stages. Where something below isn't open in your household yet, the stricter setting applies: children can't chat at all, and nothing from or about a child goes to an outside AI company.
Children (under 13)
No chat. Structured tools only: routines, chores and points, timers, stories a parent approves. No push notifications, no streaks, no ads. Nothing goes to an outside AI company. See the Children's privacy notice.
Teens (13–17)
Chat for schoolwork, planning and their own routines. One hour a session, two hours a day, memory off and notifications off unless a parent changes them. No romance or role-play.
Parents control
Time limits, quiet hours, story themes, memory and notifications, and delete-everything, from Me › Household.
Crisis
A linked parent is told, and teens are offered 988. See the Safety and crisis protocol.
Owner and review
Reviewed every six months and before any change to the kids or teen features.
